Voice of Business, one of the leading business clubs in Faculty of Business Studies, Dhaka university, organized the first ever Intra Dhaka university Green Innovation Competition named ‘Biznovation’. Friday, 12th April was the final episode of the competition. Team 'Biz Lashana' was the champion of the BIZnnovation competition while team 'Dorritos' was the first runner up and team 'We Should Stand Up' was the second runner up.
This Innovation competition based on the environment-friendly business model started on 27 March. The competition was organized by the 'Voice of Business' Club organized by the students of the Faculty of Business Education of Dhaka University. The competition was held in three steps. On 27th March, the first step was to submit the ideas as a PDF file. More than 60 teams from all the departments of Dhaka University took part in this initial stage. Idea’s visual representation model was presented in the second phase on April 2. In the third and final stage, the 16 selected from the second round presented their final idea in front of the judges. 3 teams form these 16 teams were selected and were rewarded.
This is competition was organized to create ideas that will encourage young people of Dhaka University to develop their business ideas for the future. Moreover, it is a green business concept competition, where competitors can give their favorite opinions, which will be environmentally friendly and will have economic and community-based sustainable ideas. Head of Sustainable Finance Muhammad Abdul Aziz, Project Manager of Innovation Hub Fruit Private Sector Organization, Linda Germanis, Associate Professor of Department of Drug Organization Strategy and Leadership, Mohammad Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFLL), were present at the closing ceremony.
