The business publication club Voice of Business (VoB) of Dhaka University has successfully hosted the grand finale of the national case competition “Brandrill 5.0.” The event took place on Saturday at a renowned hotel in the capital, where six finalist teams showcased their innovative business strategies and creative problem-solving skills.
The finalists of Brandrill 5.0 were:
- Team Jhalmuri(Champion) 🥇
- Team Skyfall(1st Runner-up) 🥈
- Team Smashed Burger (2nd Runner-up) 🥉
- Team Low Effort
- Team IT Was Expected
- Team Shingara Syndicate

The grand finale brought together brilliant young minds from universities across Bangladesh to tackle real-world branding and business challenges.
The judging panel featured distinguished corporate leaders — Md. Shamimum Hossain, Co-founder of GEEKY Social; Jafar Uddin Siddique, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) of City Group; and Md. Iftekhar Alam, Deputy Director (Brand & Market Communication) at Grameenphone. Their insightful evaluations and inspiring remarks encouraged participants to think beyond conventional business frameworks.
Speaking at the event, Jafar Uddin Siddique stated,
“It’s inspiring to see how the young generation of Bangladesh is gaining hands-on experience in branding and strategic thinking through such competitions. This is a very positive sign for the country’s corporate future.”
Rezwan Hossain Shamim, President of Voice of Business, remarked, “Brandrill is not just a competition—it’s a platform for young minds to express creativity, teamwork, and practical branding concepts.”
Fahim Fardin Khan Lazim, Head of Public Relations at VoB, added, “Brandrill continues to serve as a unique platform for students to demonstrate their skills, creativity, and strategic thinking. The energy and enthusiasm from participants this year have been truly motivating. We are committed to helping students bridge the gap between academics and real-world business challenges.”

The competition awarded a total prize pool of BDT 215,000, distributed as follows:
- Champion Team: BDT 100,000
- 1st Runner-up: BDT 60,000
- 2nd Runner-up: BDT 40,000
- Other Finalists: BDT 5,000 each
